5 Tips for Better Social Media Posts
I spent a lot of time researching how to properly market on social media, and I also learned a lot by trial and error. Earlier I discussed the merits of paying to boost a post, versus not paying and enhancing your Facebook presence in other ways. Today I’ll give you some pointers on how to better market yourself or your business on social media.
Make a Plan
The best way to be successful on social media is to first have a plan. How many posts are you going to do a week? Who is your target audience? Where will you get your content? These are all things that need to be considered before you even touch social media.
Stay on Topic
People don’t follow your business on Facebook or Twitter to see your vacay photos. Keep that stuff on your personal page and if your customers like you that much, they can follow you there.
Don’t just jump on the newest trending hashtag – make sure it’s relevant to your business. Post meaningful content with relevant hashtags and it’s sure to get noticed by the right people.
Keep ‘em Connected
Making a Twitter post? Be sure to post it to Facebook too (and vice versa). There are a good handful of people out there who prefer one service over the other, so to have the maximum effect it’s always a good idea to post on both.
Remember, social media is supposed to be a fun, simple way for people to connect. If you keep this in mind, you shouldn’t have a hard time getting and keeping followers. If you have any questions about social media management, contact us!
